Peter Matthews

How long have you been a funeral arranger?

I began with Southern Highlands Funerals in February 2024. Prior to this, I was a full-time Funeral Director since the early 2000s, gaining extensive experience across the industry.

What do you like about being a funeral arranger?

My mission is to "make a difference in people’s lives." I find deep fulfillment in helping people during their grief, seeing this work as a service rather than just a job. I've been assisting the grieving for about 40 years in various capacities.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love working with timber, including wood turning and making walking and hiking sticks from simple branches. My ultimate passion, however, is spending time with my family and grandchildren.
